Where is Big Red Studio?
Big Red Studio is located on 26 acres, 25 minutes east of downtown Portland, Oregon. The many moods of snow-capped Mt. Hood can be seen from the property, and the glacier fed Sandy River is across the road. The river is great for fishing, whitewater rafting in May/June and swimming from late June to October. The mighty Columbia River Gorge is only a 5 minute drive away and offers spectacular sights, waterfalls, and hiking trails.
Big Red Clients love staying at the unique McMenamin’s Edgefield, a National Historic Landmark European-style resort with a fine-dining restaurant, classic pub, numerous small bars, pool hall, golf course, on-site massage and soaking pools. Also, there are many gardens, a recent-run movie theater …extensive artwork everywhere, and (this is not a typo): Rates from $30/night! Edgefield is a scenic 10 minute’s drive from the studio.
